Mickey Yurco ist ein pensionierter Polizeibeamter, langjähriges Mitglied eines SWAT-Teams und Kampfsportler mit schwarzen Gürtel in drei verschiedenen Disziplinen. Das Ginunting, dessen Name sich aufgrund seiner Wharncliffe-artigen Spitze vom Wort „gunting" (Schere) ableitet, ist ein traditionelles philippinisches Schwert, das in der Region Visayas im Süden der Philippinen beliebt ist. Sein einzigartiges konkaves Profil verleiht ihm außergewöhnliche Hebelwirkung und Schneidkraft, während die Spitze für kraftvolle Stoßtechniken natürlich ausgerichtet bleibt. Spydercos Yurco Ginunting setzt diese dynamischen Eigenschaften originalgetreu in eine kompaktere, moderne Interpretation aus 9Cr18MoV-Edelstahl um. Die flachgeschliffene Klinge bietet eine hervorragende Balance zwischen Schneidengeometrie und Festigkeit und wird durch eine Harpunenspitze akzentuiert, die für eine starke, aber spitze Spitze sorgt. Der Vollerl-Griff des Messers verfügt über konturierte, polierte G-10-Schalen, die durch acht Torx®-Schrauben auf jeder Seite gesichert sind. Als atemberaubende moderne Interpretation eines klassischen kulturellen Designs wird das Yurco Ginunting von Spyderco komplett mit einer speziell geformten Boltaron®-Scheide mit Gürtelhalterung geliefert.
